Happy Tuesday my bishes.
Here's the latest and (by far the greatest) GG movie that was filmed and edited by none other than GG essay winner, delicious cassoulet maker and all-around impressive guy: André.
Honestly, it's surprisingly good (well, not surprising because of André, but because I show like a beast on video) though longer than your usual YouTube joint. Think of it as step one to the GGTV web media empire.
Please keep in mind that this in only ONE of the many ways to sharpen a knife so I don't want to here it from any of you on the topic of technique! This is simply my way which was bastardized from the Korin knife sharpening DVD.

holey shit- We cant wait till you create the new genre on HBO- cooking and swearing.. As soon as I get that Japanese Water Stone we ordered from the web, I'll feel so goddamned secure in the house its stupid!
Zoe! Brilliant idea! Tom should pitch his cooking/swearing show to HBO. Possible titles would include:
"Roast Some Shit Up"
"Tom's Fuckin' Cookin"
"Fuck Your Beans, Bitch"
"Step Off Dis Grill, Son"
"Rachael Ray Can Lick My Tasty Ass"
I was thinking something like:
"Cooking, My Bishes"
This is where I'd cook on a stage kitchen set up like the one in my first real apartment: tiny gas stove with a chipped enamel lever to control the oven heat and swap meet Ginsus. Also, there would be topless kitchen help.
Maybe a reification of Yan Can Cook called:
"Tom Can Cook... Hella Good"
Or, my dream project, which would be like The River Cottage only called:
"Tom Lives Way the Fuck Out in the Boonies, For Real"
I love this guy!!! He is the male version of me. Vulgarity and knives, I am so turned on right now.

Great fucking video dude. I laughed and learned at the same time. Quick question - looking at water stones online I see all kinds of grits available. Any idea what two grits you use to bring your blades to heavenly sharpness?
